Hi! My name is Abbey Friday, and I have been a certified lash technician for over a year. I was first inspired to start my business after being introduced to the art of lash extensions back in 2017, when I decided to get extensions in Charlotte where it was becoming popular. I loved that lash extensions were such a simple but effective way to enhance natural beauty, and I always felt so confident with them!

 

When I came to East Carolina University as a freshman in fall of 2017, I noticed that there were only a handful of lash techs in the area, and it inspired me to create my own lashing service to extend the service to as many people as I could so they too could feel the confidence and beauty that I felt. I got certified in June of 2018 and fell in love with the process of lashing. It became very therapeutic for me, and I learned that I loved to meet and interact with clients! 

 

Starting my own business required a lot of preparation and learning throughout the way, but it has been the best decision I've made for myself. I'm able to create my own schedule which has been a world changer as a college student, be my own boss, and make enough money to become financially independent. The growth that I have seen in myself as well as my business makes all of the long days worth it. I have learned so much about myself and made so many friendships because of FabbLashes!
